Sharing A Shell

This half term, Reception have been making a splash with our magical topic: Under the Sea! We’ve dived deep into a treasure chest of fiction and non-fiction books, discovering fascinating facts about sea creatures and marvelling at the mysteries that lie beneath the waves.

In our Talk for Writing lessons, we’ve set sail with the enchanting story Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson. The children have been captivated by this tale of friendship and adventure and it’s quickly become a class favourite! They love returning to it time and time again, retelling the story with growing confidence. Using puppets and our immersive sea life area, the children have brought the characters to life, acting out their underwater adventures with enthusiasm and imagination.
