Reception: Sharing a Shell

This tells the story of a little hermit crab who learns that sharing and friendship can make a home even more special. We also loved The Snail and the Whale, where a tiny sea snail hitches a ride on the tail of a huge whale and discovers that even the smallest creatures can have big adventures!

The children have enjoyed talking about the characters, exploring the ocean setting, learning new vocabulary and sharing their own ideas about life under the sea.

Layke: “I loved the whale because it was really big and took the snail everywhere!”

Geoffery: “I liked Sharing a Shell because they became friends and lived together.”

Tia: “I loved the snail because it went on an adventure and saw lots of different places!”
