Reading Buddies

This week, some of our wonderful Year 3 children volunteered to take some time out of their lunch break to share stories with children from Nursery.

It was a lovely opportunity for our older pupils to practise their reading fluency while also acting as fantastic role models for the younger children. The Nursery children were delighted to listen to the stories and spend time with their reading buddies.

These special moments help to build confidence, communication skills, and a love of reading across the school. We’re so proud of our Year 3 readers for showing such kindness and leadership and our younger children are already looking forward to the next session!
