Man on the Moon: A Day in the Life of Bob

Year 1 have had a fantastic time reading Man on the Moon: A Day in the Life of Bob by Simon Bartram. The story introduces us to Bob, a very busy man who lives on the moon and spends his days cleaning, fixing and looking after it – even though everyone on Earth thinks there is no life on the moon at all! The children especially loved spotting the funny details hidden in the pictures.

This book has inspired lots of exciting learning in the classroom. The children have been busy ordering the events of Bob’s day, using words like first, next and finally. They have also used the story to inspire their writing and have enjoyed rewriting Bob’s day in their own words. It has been lovely to see their imagination and storytelling skills develop.
