DEAR Time

As we come to the end of a fantastic year in Year 1, we've been thinking about all the wonderful books we've shared during DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) – our favourite part of the school day!

Our class favourite was The Koala Who Could. This lovely story follows Kevin the koala, who learns that being brave and trying new things can lead to exciting adventures.

We loved the funny characters, joining in with the repeated phrases, and talking about how Kevin found the courage to step outside his comfort zone. It's the perfect story to remind us that, as we get ready for Year 2, it's okay to be a little nervous about new adventures.
