Arthur and the Golden Rope

Year 3 have really enjoyed reading Arthur and the Golden Rope by Joe Todd Stanton during our Guided Reading sessions. Over the past few weeks, the class have been fascinated by the book’s rich illustrations, mythical creatures and fast-paced storyline. Arthur and the Golden Rope is an exciting tale about a brave and curious boy who sets off on a daring adventure to find the god Thor and save his village from danger. The children were especially captivated by the blend of fantasy and folklore, which encouraged plenty of lively discussion and imaginative predictions about what might happen next.

"I liked how Arthur stayed brave and how the pictures made the story feel magical." - Chikamso.

"My favourite part was when Arthur completed clever challenges to become a hero." - Oscar

Overall, Year 3 would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventure stories, magical quests and thrilling myths. It has truly sparked our imaginations and inspired us to think about what it means to be courageous, determined and kind.
